Why all the fuss about an update?

Webflow is our key to building stunning websites. And now Webflow Apps have taken the game to a whole new level. These little powerhouses extend the features and give projects the decisive kick. Why is that so cool?

What do you gain from knowing more about it? Find out in our article!

These apps change the Webflow game and, as a Webflow pro, you can integrate them effortlessly – a brilliant update YOU should not miss!

Webflow Apps – what the hell are they?

Before we go into detail, let's take a look at what these apps actually are. Think of them as the special ingredients in your favourite dish. They give your Webflow project that extra kick – and the best part is that you do not have to write complicated code for it. With these tools you can add features as if you were waving a magic wand.

The best things in life are sometimes free

And we sure as hell like that!
Webflow offers us a selection of free apps that are a long-awaited gift. You can integrate them into your projects effortlessly. From seamless CRM integrations to workflow automation – all of it is just a click away.
The apps do not come from Webflow itself, though: third parties such as Finsweet or HubSpot provide them. You know what that means? Exactly! Users can develop tools independently of Webflow and improve the program wherever there is a need. That is not only good for us developers, it opens up a new market.

Installation is child's play

Dear colleagues, forget the days of spending hours polishing code. Thanks to Webflow Apps, installation is child's play. Click, insert, go. Now we have more time for what really counts – creative expression and clean work.

And because we are the way we are – nice and accommodating – here is a quick guide for our fellow developers anyway:

  1. Visit the Webflow Apps library.
  2. Choose an app that interests you.
  3. Click "Add to site".
  4. Select the website you want to add the app to.
  5. Click "Authorize application".
  6. If necessary, follow the app's instructions to integrate it into your website.

How to use an app in the Designer:

  1. Open the Apps panel.
  2. Hover over the app you want to open.
  3. Click "Launch".

So why should you still rely on the experts, aka Wagemut?

We know some of you are grinning already #savingmoney, but sorry to say: all this does not mean you no longer need experts – aka us – for Webflow development. The best example here is building tables, which was a huge pain, and not only for us.
– Our dev department can tell you a thing or two about that.

Now this otherwise very laborious piece of coding becomes child's play for us thanks to the Finsweet Table app. The emphasis is still on "for us", because the apps only help if you engage with the subject and have a basic understanding of how Webflow works. Once the structure is in place, there is hardly a limit for hobby designers and developers managing their own website.

"Fine, but what is in it for me as an end customer?"

Simple: because the apps let us work more efficiently and build elements that would otherwise have opened a huge can of worms, we can now offer you much more. Less time goes into development, so there is more time to give your website a stunning design (which we do anyway – just imagine it even better). On top of that, the apps give us tools to build even better and smoother features into your websites, which pushes the limit of what is possible even further than it already was for us.

In short: as an end customer you only benefit from this upgrade. More time for design, better options in the back and front end, and the list goes on.

What comes next?

Webflow has already spoiled us with these apps, but we know even more exciting developments are ahead. The future promises innovation, and we are ready to embrace all of it.

So, Webflow fans, stay tuned! The design world is being stirred up, and it is only getting more exciting. Keep an eye on Webflow and the brand-new apps!

Until next time, when we dive into the world of web design again. In the meantime: stay creative and let the ideas flow! 🚀✨
