This isn’t our bread and butter, but every time a job like this drops in on us, the lights go on. We’re talking about the rare chance to work in video and motion design. And the very best part, of course, is when brilliant clients like Koch Gebäudereinigung give us a free hand.
With a spectacle like this, obviously we didn’t hang about. We decided to take the whole thing on with a light satirical touch and stage the event with the e-carts in the style of Formula 1. A bit more epic, a bit cheekier.
Our tools? A GoPro, an honest and likeable smile, gimbals and — brace yourselves — our iPhones. The footage turned out really nice; Cinematic mode in particular won Patrick over.
After we had recomposed the track to our liking with Taki’s help, added fast cuts and tried out the odd trendy effect, it was done. The best stories come out of pure enthusiasm — and that is exactly what we love at Wagemut.
